There are many reasons for volunteering. For some, volunteering can be a route to employment, or a chance to try something new which may lead to a career change. Volunteering can be a way to gaining new skills, knowledge and experience, developing existing skills and knowledge, meet new people, get involved with your local community and gain confidence and self-esteem

Craven Volunteer Centre

The Volunteer Centre gives information to prospective volunteers on opportunities around the Craven area, and holds some information on volunteering away from home.

Craven CVS

South Craven Community Action exists to support, develop, represent the local voluntary and community sector and establish new initiatives. We offer a wide range of services which voluntary and community groups can access, and also provide information on a variety of subjects i.e. funding, hosting events, developing constitutions, business plans etc.
