Motorhomes

Motorhomes are permitted to park on the Council's off-street car parks. Where the wheelbase of the vehicle prohibits it from parking along the length of one designated parking space then tickets should be purchased for both occupied spaces. Motorhomes must not be parked in spaces designated for coach parking only.

Blue Badge holders

Parking regulations for blue badge holders in Craven have changed from January 4, 2016.

Blue badge holders have previously been allowed to park for three hours without charge, provided they parked in designated blue badge parking spaces.

From January 4, blue badge holders will have to pay for a ticket on arrival, which will then allow for an additional hour on top of the usual time, and an extra 30 minutes in pop-and-shop spaces.

Blue badge holders will still be entitled to park on-street on single or double yellow lines for up to three hours, except where there is a ban on loading or unloading.

They can also park for free and for as long as they need to at on-street parking meters and on-street pay and display machines, unless there is a traffic sign specifying a time limit for holders of blue badges.

Current Pay & Display charges are displayed on the tariff boards adjacent to the Pay & Display machines in each car park.
