    The Craven area has a long tradition of producing and rearing high quality meats. From the renowned Craven Heifer, bred in the early 1800s by the Rev William Carr of Bolton Abbey, to the more modern limestone beef project where rare breeds are grazing the limestone pastures of Craven.
