Craven Local Plan - new timetable approved by committee

Craven District Council's Spatial Planning Sub-Committee has approved a new timetable for the district's Local Plan.

The preparation of the Local Plan has been delayed slightly due to the need for the council to complete two important documents.

These documents, the Whole Plan Viability Assessment and Highway Modelling for Skipton, were presented to the sub-committee meeting on June 5 and were also approved by councillors.

The sub-committee will now meet on June 14 to consider the full pre-publication draft of the Craven Local Plan.

Subject to councillors' approval of this draft for consultation purposes, the public consultation will then begin on June 19 for a period of six weeks.

It is anticipated that the Publication version of the Local Plan will be presented to Policy Committee and Full Council by the end of September 2017 and submitted to the Secretary of State by early December 2017.
