Our exhibition gallery shows a changing programme of exhibitions throughout the year, ranging from fine and applied arts and crafts, to heritage themes relating to our museum collections.

Exhibition Gallery

The Gallery is open 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday, including bank and public holidays with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years' Day and Easter Day.

The next exhibit begins in February 2017, please come back soon to find out more information.

Our last exhibition was Artyfacts:

Throughout 2016, we have been working with community and arts-based charity Pioneer Projects, to create an innovative new exhibition featuring works of art designed and produced by people living with dementia.

Working with the museum's art and social history collections, museum staff have supported creative sessions for people living with dementia and their carers to develop the work that will go on show.

The art created will be accompanied by other work produced by Pioneer Projects as well as videos of some of the projects Pioneer Projects have instigated. The exhibition hopes to raise people's awareness of dementia and also the great initiatives that have been carried out in the area.

Please view the Press Release from the opening night and also coverage in the local press from the  7th October 2016

The Artyfacts Exhibition is a joint initiative between Craven Museum & Gallery and Pioneer Projects and has been funded by the Arts Council England Museum's Resilience Fund, as part of the museum's Museum: Indispensable project.
