Craven District Council : Craven District Council Budget Consultation

With continued reductions in Government funding, the Council faces significant challenges in balancing its budget, and needs to save a further £870,000 from its revenue budget by 2020/2021. At least £385,000 of this will need to be saved in 2018/2019.

Craven District Council leader, Councillor Richard Foster, said: "We have some difficult choices to make due to the reductions in Government funding to local authorities.

"That's why it's important to ask our residents for their views on how we spend their money and how they think we should make the savings we have to.

"We provide a huge range of services to residents for an average of just over £3 per week, per household - from bin collections and street cleaning to Craven Leisure and Skipton Town Hall.

"We want to know what residents think about the services we provide and what people really need from their council - what are your top priorities?"
