Christmas begins at Skipton Town Hall
Skipton Town Hall will be joining in the fun on Sunday November 25 alongside the Santa Fun Run and the High Street Christmas Lights switch-on.
The Town Hall is the base for the start and end of the Santa Fun Run this year and the Rotary Club of Skipton Craven are hoping for 2,000 Santas to complete the course.
The Hub at the Town Hall will then be open from 2pm for hot chocolate, mulled wine and mince pies.
There will also be a festive edition of the Make & Take craft sessions, suitable for children aged three and over and their families – this will be a free drop-in event from 3pm to 5pm.
Then after the lights are switched on at 5.30pm there will be a free festive carol singing concert with Skipton Brass, with audience members invited to join in. The carol concert will run for an hour, from 5.45pm in the Skipton Town Hall Concert Hall.
Danielle Daglan, Programming & Venue Development Manager at Craven District Council, said: “We hope families will pop in to Skipton Town Hall throughout the day to celebrate the start of the Christmas season in style. We can’t wait to see hundreds of Santas racing past the Town Hall!
“Then please do come and join us under our own 10ft Christmas tree, kindly donated by Keelham Farm Shop, and end a magical day with some Christmas carols.”
