Parking Fines

Parking fines (Penalty Charge Notices) may be imposed for failure to observe the regulations.

Parking fines (Penalty Charge Notices) may be imposed for failure to observe the regulations in Council car parks and parking restrictions on the public highways.

On 30th May 2013, enforcement of parking restrictions was passed to Harrogate Borough Council, who are acting as the agents for North Yorkshire County Council for the on-street enforcement and for Craven District Council for the car park enforcement, with standardised penalty charges. Enforcement of parking restrictions in Craven is completed by Harrogate Borough Council.

To pay a parking fine (penalty charge notice) or appeal against a ticket, please visit Harrogate Borough Council's website Pay or dispute penalty charge notices (HBC).

The enforcement of off-street car parking regulations across the Craven District is carried out by Harrogate Borough Council. That authority processes the personal data of any registered keeper of a vehicle that has been issued with a Penalty Charge Notice.

Harrogate Borough Council’s privacy notice explains how personal data is processed for this purpose. Read the Harrogate Borough Council privacy notice.
