Using your parking permit
You must display your permit in the windscreen so it can be inspected by Civil Enforcement officers. If a permit is valid for more than one vehicle, it is the responsibility of the driver to ensure that the permit has been transferred to the vehicle that it is to be used on.
You need to ensure that your permit is valid, in date and that the vehicle registration number is correct. We reserve the right to withdraw a permit if it has expired, or has been altered, defaced or passed to unauthorised users.
Buying and renewing a parking permit
You can buy a residential or business permit online. You can also renew your permit online if your details have not changed.
Changing a permit
You can add or remove vehicles or change permit type by sending in your existing permit for cancellation with new details to Customer Services at Belle Vue Square. We charge an administration fee of £15.00 for each time a change is requested. You can pay this online.
The current permit will need to be returned to us before the new permit can be issued - this is for audit and finance purposes.
Cancelling a parking permit
You can cancel a permit by sending us a Refund Request form and return with existing permit to permits@cravendc.gov.uk or post to the Permit team at Craven District Council.
