• all major planning applications
• applications that are not in accordance with the development plan
• proposals that require detailed policy consideration
Planning statements should include all comments the applicant(s) wants the Council to consider in support of the proposal. In particular statements should: explain why:
- the proposal complies with relevant development plan policies; or if not in accordance with such policies;
- the applicant(s) consider permission should be granted if contrary to development plan policies.
Planning statements may also usefully include additional information, such as suggested planning conditions and expand on information provided on the application form.
